draco malfoy was not the “boy who had no choice” like let’s not excuse his bigotry?? the kid used the term “mudblood” and believed in blood purity and you can’t just write it off as “well that’s how he grew up” because guess what that’s how sirius black grew up too only sirius didn’t accept it and didn’t go around calling muggle borns “mudbloods” and didn’t support lord voldemort. draco malfoy is a great character, and his journey through the sixth and seventh books as he starts to maybe see that the whole “blood purity” thing has gone too far is great, but he deserves no sympathy for his actions for the majority of the series. there’s no excuse for racism
