Beautiful could be sung by Kaz as he realizes how horrible Pekka Rollins is in a *backstory song*. Or it could be an Inej song in Tante Heleen’s house. Or honestly just any of their backstory songs except for maybe Jesper and Matthias?
I highkey think Candy Store would be sung by the antagonist trio of Pekka Rollins, Jan Van Eck, and Tante Heleen (with Jarl Brum singing backup in the wings).
Fight For Me is naturally sung by Kaz about Inej when they meet for the first time, AND THEN A REPRISE OF IT COULD BE WHEN KAZ HIRES NINA THROUGH INEJ
FREEZE YOUR BRAIN IS KAZ TALKING ABOUT HIS GLOVES
OK so Dead Girl Walking lyrics wise doesn’t relate to anyone but I lowkey think that if the lyrics could be adapted I would make it to Nina for when she’s on parem or after that.
Blue is a flashback song for my sweet child Inej.
SEVENTEEN IS ALL OF THE COUPLES SINGING TOGETHER AT ONE POINT AND WONDERING WHY THEY HAD TO GROW UP SO FAST AND FEELING THE WEIGHT OF THEIR LIVES
Shine a Light is the villain’s song where they beat up Wylan to figure out what’s going on in CK OR when Jan Van Eck is all let’s go torture Inej. The possibilities are endless honestly.
Jan Van Eck would mockingly sing Dead Gay Son when he discovers Wylan is alive OR IT could be phrased mockingly in one of the letters Jan sends Wylan. And maybe Jesper could read it and sing part of it and be disgusted and horrified and make a vow to stand by Wylan because I ship them wayyyyyy too much.
Lifeboat–Marya Hendricks when Jesper and Wylan meet her on the island maybe? Or just our fave crew of murder children singing together.
Kindergarten Boyfriend could be Nina singing after Matthias dies? Like, not the end bits, but maybe retelling their relationship?
I am Damaged is the ending number where Kaz is generous and sings to Inej about how he’s not a great person.
Yes, this is out of order and everything and a mess but I am obsessed with this idea.
